Educational Experience |
My family is the most important thing in the world to me. My wife, Corie, and I have been married nearly 10 years. We have two sons Max and Kanon. Max is 5 years old and Kanon is 1. We also have a dog, Riley, who has been in the family for 8 years.
Educational PhilosophyI have a firm belief that all students deserve an opportunity to be successful. My goal is to ensure that I provide that opportunity. I think one of the most dangerous issues in physical education today is setting the same bar for each student. I do not believe this to be correct. I believe that if we recognize that certain strengths and weaknesses are unique to each individual student, there is no reason that we cannot assign an appropriate learning target for each student so that they may find success. At the end, it is my hope that students have a positive educational experience in my class so that they may continue to pursue physical education opportunities long after they have left my class.

I completed my undergraduate work at Olivet College, in Olivet Michigan. There I received my bachelors in Secondary Education with a focus in Mathematics and Physical Education. I completed my Masters in 2014 from Peru State College, in Peru, Nebraska. There my focus was on Curriculum and Instruction.
Professional ExperienceI am currently in my 10th year as an educator. My first seven years were spent in South Carolina. I then spent one year in Allegan, MI, one year in New Haven, MI, and am now home here at Richmond Middle School. I have had a very blessed journey thus far, and I am elated to be continuing that journey with my Alma Mater, Richmond Community Schools.

Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.
